Ready to take the first step towards recovery? Book an appointment with us and let’s work towards getting your life back on track.
Have you injured yourself at work or during work-related travel? To qualify for a Workcover claim, this is the first and most crucial requirement. Reporting the incident at work and visiting a GP are essential steps.
Workcover primarily covers injuries from specific work-related incidents, though overuse injuries might qualify. A single incident claim is typically more straightforward. Your GP will assess and provide a medical certificate, determining your work capacity.
Once you apply, Workcover will issue a claim number, often via text. Approval usually takes 6-10 days, potentially delayed by incomplete paperwork from your doctor or employer. In case of delays, reach out to Workcover directly.
With a doctor’s referral, you can start physiotherapy sessions. You’re entitled to six pre-approved treatments while your claim is processed. These early sessions often lead to claim approval.
Post-approval, your physiotherapist will collaborate with your case manager to create a personalised treatment plan, which may include various therapies and return-to-work programs.
More complex situations might involve an Occupational Therapist for specialised return-to-work programs, sometimes coordinating with a host employer.
Remember, Workcover operates differently across employers and states. This information primarily applies to Queensland’s WorkCover system.
At Logan Physiotherapy, we have extensive experience in managing WorkCover claims. Let us simplify and streamline your claim process for a stress-free experience.

Testimonials
EXCELLENT Based on 215 reviews Posted on Isabelle Kaya HuntTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Logan physio was great for my back rehab. Sandy is very experienced and great at finding the deeper issues that lead to my injury. I gained a lot of knowledge on how to move my body in the right ways - to improve my back injury and to prevent myself from hurting it in the future. I would highly recommend this Physio to anyone.Posted on Alannah Taylor-PowellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been coming here for 3 months and these wonderful people that have been by my side this whole time have been the most supportive people ever. Justine, Sandy, Ash and Marcus are all super friendly and welcoming! The knowledge they have given me for my diagnosis has been super helpful, also the banter is great and the work outs aren't so nerve racking! Appreciate you all for helping me with my recovery ❤️Posted on EllieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I attended this clinic under a Care Plan for lower back pain after seeing many positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. My appointment was with Sandy Clark. For almost the entire one-hour session, there was very little focus on my actual medical issue. Instead, I was subjected to long, irrelevant conversations about his personal ski trip to Japan. He repeatedly diverted the session back to his travel stories rather than assessing or treating my condition. In addition, he asked me a series of very personal and inappropriate questions that had nothing to do with physiotherapy or my care: questions about my country, my partner’s financial status, whether my partner treats me well, my child’s age and name, and other personal details. Despite my visible discomfort and lack of engagement, these questions continued. The situation became even more uncomfortable when he insisted on asking what my name would be “in my country,” and when I hesitated, he laughed and kept pressing. He then handed me a pen and persistently asked me to write my name in my native language, which I felt pressured to do just to move the session along. During the physical treatment, he asked if he could unclip my bra for a shoulder massage, which I consented to as it seemed clinically reasonable. However, after the massage, he made a joking comment about not knowing whether he had clipped my bra back correctly and laughed about it. At that point, I genuinely felt uncomfortable and objectified rather than treated as a patient. The actual physiotherapy consisted of about 10 minutes of massage and roughly 15 minutes of showing me three basic stretches, followed by a printed sheet. That was the extent of the clinical care provided in a one-hour appointment. For clarity, the entire session was recorded. This was not done secretly or maliciously — my partner had asked me in advance to record the appointment so he could understand the explanation for my back pain. After listening to the recording, my partner was extremely upset and angry, and also felt that the behaviour during the session was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, I felt that my time and money were wasted, my boundaries were not respected, and the session lacked professionalism and appropriate patient focus. I left feeling upset and disrespected, rather than supported or treated for my back pain. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking professional, patient-centred physiotherapy care.Posted on SalmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
