Payment Policy
We accept clients under the following programs: Private Health Fund, Medicare, WorkCover, CTP, Veteran Affairs, NDIS, and IHMS. Full details and eligibility are available on our website, Facebook page, or at reception.
Payment methods accepted: Cash, EFTPOS and Afterpay. Payment for all treatment, services, and goods is required at the time of your appointment unless claiming through another program as listed above.
Scheduling of Appointments
After your initial appointment, your physiotherapist will develop an appropriate Recommended Action Plan (RAP) to address your needs. Our receptionist will schedule sessions according to this plan.
Text reminders are sent as a courtesy, but it remains your responsibility to track and attend appointments.
24-Hour Cancellation Policy: All clients must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a charge for the service. This allows us to offer your appointment time to other patients. We may make allowances at our discretion.
Occasionally, your appointment may need to be rescheduled, or a different physiotherapist may see you. You will be notified in such cases.
What to Expect at Logan Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists are trained to assess your condition and diagnose your problem. They will discuss your condition and treatment options with you so that you are appropriately informed and able to make decisions regarding your care.
Your treatment plan will consider your lifestyle, activities, goals, and general health.
Physiotherapy is not massage therapy. Physiotherapists complete a minimum of four years of university training to obtain their Bachelor’s degree and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). As registered health professionals, they have a duty of care to assess and reassess you at each visit and provide treatment and advice they deem appropriate at the time.
Physiotherapy treatment may include a range of evidence-based options. We encourage patients not to have fixed preconceptions regarding treatment approaches, as care is individualised.
Appointment Duration
Appointment time is not solely indicative of “hands-on” treatment. The total time allocated to you includes:
Subjective and objective examination
Diagnosis and follow-up treatment
Development and explanation of your Recommended Action Plan (RAP)
Self-management advice and condition education
Instruction in prescribed home exercises
Completion of necessary documentation
Communication with case managers, doctors, insurers, and other parties involved in your care
Recommended Action Plan (RAP)
Following your initial assessment and treatment, you will receive a Recommended Action Plan.
The RAP is based on:
The history you provide
Examination findings
Theoretical knowledge of injury rehabilitation
Clinical experience with similar cases
The plan identifies recovery milestones and helps ensure effective treatment. It is an estimate designed to guide your recovery and assist you in planning your schedule.
Re-assessment appointments may be scheduled. For these, we recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early to complete any required forms.
Risks Related to Treatment
Physiotherapy has associated risks and benefits. Your physiotherapist will discuss foreseeable risks prior to treatment, enabling informed consent. Some pain or soreness following treatment is normal, particularly after initial injury consultations. This may last 2-3 days. Any longer should be discussed with your physiotherapist.
Clinic Conduct and Private Property
Logan Physiotherapy is private property. Recording, either audio or visual, on the premises without express permission from Logan Physiotherapy and its staff is strictly prohibited.
Logan Physiotherapy assumes no responsibility for personal items lost or stolen on clinic grounds.
All clients and visitors must conduct themselves appropriately and respect the privacy of others.
Mobile phones should remain on silent.
Aggressive behaviour or language will not be tolerated.
The clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment to any client or visitor at its discretion.
Logan Physiotherapy Guarantees
You will be seen at your scheduled appointment time. If our physiotherapists are running more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be provided free of charge.
Questions of a Personal Nature and Physical Contact
Your physiotherapist may ask personal questions related to your problem to provide effective treatment. You may choose not to answer any question that makes you uncomfortable.
