At Logan Physio, our care is guided by experience, empathy, and evidence-based practice. One of the driving forces behind this approach is Justine, Director and Senior Physiotherapist, who leads the clinic alongside her husband, Sandy.
With 30 years of clinical experience, advanced qualifications in Pain Science and Pain Management, and a strong passion for helping people understand and manage pain, Justine plays a central role in shaping the standard of care at Logan Physiotherapy.
A Career Built on Experience and Excellence
Justine completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney in 1996. Since then, she has worked across a wide range of clinical environments in both Australia and the UK, including:
- Private practice
- Hospital settings
- Community health
This diverse background allows Justine to take a holistic approach to assessment and treatment, considering not only the injury or condition, but also the broader factors that influence recovery.
Since 2005, Justine has been Director and Senior Physiotherapist at Logan Physio, co-leading the clinic with Sandy and ensuring high standards of patient-centred, evidence-based care.
A Strong Focus on Pain Science and Chronic Pain
Justine has a particular interest in pain science, especially chronic and persistent pain. She understands that pain is complex and often influenced by multiple physical, psychological, and social factors.
To further develop her expertise, Justine has completed advanced postgraduate training, including:
- Professional Certificate in Pain Science – University of South Australia
- Postgraduate Certificate in Pain Management – University of Sydney
Her approach focuses on helping patients understand why they are experiencing pain, how the nervous system works, and how movement, education, and gradual exposure can support recovery and improve quality of life.
Empathy, Education, and Individualised Care
With decades of experience, Justine brings a high level of empathy, understanding, and reassurance to her consultations. She recognises that ongoing pain can be physically and emotionally challenging and takes the time to listen, educate, and guide patients through their rehabilitation.
Education is a cornerstone of Justine’s treatment philosophy. By explaining conditions in clear, relatable terms, she empowers patients to feel confident in their recovery and actively involved in their care.
Leadership at Logan Physio
As Director of Logan Physiotherapy, Justine works closely with Sandy to guide the clinic’s vision, values, and clinical standards. Together, they have built a clinic that prioritises:
- Individualised assessment and treatment
- Active, movement-based rehabilitation
- Evidence-based physiotherapy
- Long-term self-management and education
Justine is also passionate about supporting professional development within the team, ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care across the clinic.
Life Beyond the Clinic
Outside the clinic, Justine values staying active and maintaining balance. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, participating in Les Mills classes, and running – having completed the occasional half marathon.
Her personal experience with training and physical challenges gives her valuable insight into the demands placed on the body and the importance of recovery, injury prevention, and sustainable movement.
